AAPL RULES AND INFO

1. There are several major titles in the AAPL; the AAPL Supporters' Cup, the AAPL Capital Cup, the AAPL Colonial Cup and AAPL Open Cup. The AAPL Supporter's Cup is awarded to the top team in the AAPL on the MFLS table (this is sometimes referred to as the "points championship"). The AAPL Capitol Cup is awarded to the team that finishes on top of the AAPL Capital table in the head to head competition. The AAPL Colonial Cup is awarded to the team that finishes on top of the AAPL Colonial table in the head to head competition. The AAPL Open Cup is awarded to the winner of a tournament that will be played as the season goes on. There are no actual awards for any of these titles, just bragging rights (and we know how important those are).

2. In the Capital and Colonial leagues (the head to head competitions), each team will play each other as determined by a schedule. Teams that score more MFLS points than their opponents, during that week, will be awarded a win and 3 points. Those that have less will be given a loss. In the event of a tie, each team will be given a draw and awarded 1 point. There may be a week or two when there are no league match-ups (depending on the number of teams we have), but MFLS play will continue as scheduled on MFLS.com.

2a. Tie-breakers-- For teams that are tied on the league tables, the first tiebreaker will be total MFLS points. This differs from last year when we had "goal differential" (your points vs. your total points against) as the first tiebreaker. I will no longer be keeping track of goal differential as it was WAY too much work for me, and 9 out of 10 times, the team with the higher total of MFLS points also has the higher goal differential anyway. This should also allow me to get the website updated quicker. The second tie breaker is goal differential on the MFLS scores, then clean sheets.

3. The seedings for the AAPL Open Cup will be determined by the league standings at the end of a week of play to be announced. All teams will be involved. There will be a group play, followed by a knock-out phase will be 2-legged home and home matches, with a one match final.

3a. The winner of the AAPL Open Cup qualifies for the MFLS Cup Winners Cup.

4. As far as the forums go... let's keep the language clean, and let's keep the subject restricted to soccer only. There are plenty of other places on the net to discuss other things.

5. See MFLS site for all the MFLS rules.

6. If you need to e-mail me for anything, please type "AAPL" in the subject line. This is just to make it easier for me to see.

7. Above all... have fun. I may post more rules/info if they're needed.

The AAPL is a league that competes in the Major Fantasy Soccer League (MFLS), and uses it's stats for head to head competition. MFLS is a fantasy soccer league that bases it's results on the performance of players in Major League Soccer (MLS). The AAPL is in no way associated with Major League Soccer, and it sincerely hopes MLS does not sue it for using it's team logos on the AAPL website (cause we ain't got no money).
